The selection process for UPESSC PGT Recruitment 2026 is structured out of a total of 400 Marks across two evaluation stages:

  1. Written Examination (360 Marks):
    • Total Questions: 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
    • Question Paper Scheme: 30 questions on General Knowledge and 90 questions on Subject-Specific discipline.
    • Exam Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes).
    • Marking Scheme: Each correct response carries 3 Marks.
    • Negative Marking: Deduction of 1 Mark for every wrong answer or multiple entries per question.
  2. Interview Round (40 Marks):
    • Shortlisted candidates who clear the written exam merit cut-off will be called for a personal interview.
